John Scarne's pocket-sized strategy duel, you (cyan) versus a tactical CPU (rose). On a 5×5 board you each have four pieces. The game has two phases: first the drop — you alternately place your four pieces one at a time; then the slide — each turn you move one of your pieces to any neighbouring empty point (eight directions). You win the instant your four pieces form a straight line of four or a 2×2 square. No captures, no dice — just clean placement and maneuver, and the constant tension of two different winning shapes to chase and block.
